In order to use the IAC's Electronic Headquarters it is necessary that you have installed in your computer the Autofirma application. You can download the Autofirma application from the download  page of the Electronic Signatures Portal . Alternatively, you can use a navigator that supports Java Applets. To verify that Autofirma works correctly, you must go to the Valide service (validate signature).

 No, you don't.

Yes, you need to have Javascript enabled in your browser.

The Electronic Registry will automatically issue a receipt accrediting the submission of the document, request or communication in question, which will contain the data provided by the interested party, with an indication of the date and time at which the submission took place on the server and a registration number for the identification of the transaction.

This receipt consists of an electronic file signed with the certificate of the web server of the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC), which guarantees the non-repudiation of the data provided by the applicant. It is very important to save the file.

In the “My files” tab of the main menu of the electronic office you can see a list of the applications made and download the receipt for each one of them. For those files that you cannot find in this tab, you must access the “Consult my files” procedure.

In the electronic certificates  page of the Electronic Signatures Portal you will find general information on electronic certificates and the procedures for acquiring and renewing them.

In the page referring to navegators and computers  of the  Electronic Signatures Portal  are described the necessary steps for introducing electronic certificates in various environments.

The Electronic Headquarters certificate used at IAC headquarters is issued by the FNMT (the Spanish Mint), for which reason it will be necessary that you have available in your navigator both the 'AC RAIZ FNMT-RCM' certificate and the 'AC Administración Pública' certificate. You can download these certificates from the 'Certificados raíz de la FNMT ' webpage from the FNMT's Electronic Headquarters .

When a server requests an authentication certificate indicating that it is you, the chosen certificate is cached in an SSL session. The chosen certificate can remain in the cache until you restart your browser.

If you click Clear SSL Status located on the Content tab of the Internet Options dialog box, all client authentication certificates in the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) cache will be removed without the need to open a new browser window.

You can access all the information relating to identity documents in the Electronic Identity Documents Portal  of the Headquarters of the Directorate of the National Police.

Yes, as stated in the Declaration of Certification Practices of the electronic DNI, the electronic certificates contained therein may be used as a means of authentication of identity and as a means of electronic signature of documents.

On the other hand, the electronic ID card, in addition to the capacity of physical identification of its holder, has the ability to identify in electronic media and to sign electronically as if it were a handwritten form. In this way, it guarantees that the signer's personality is not supplanted.

To use electronic certificates whose support is a cryptographic card, you will need, in addition to a card reader, specific software according to the manufacturer's instructions. For example, to use the DNIe you should consult the link How to use the DNIe. To use a CERES cryptographic card you should consult the Frequently Asked Questions on the CERES page. For other cryptographic cards consult the manufacturer's website.

It is necessary to download and install the appropriate drivers, download them from the following link: DNI Electrónico

You can obtain information on electronic signatures  at the Electronic Signatures Portal  of the Spanish Government.

You can validate the electronic signature of the receipt issued by the Electronic Registry through the Valide platform.
